suspenseful, though at times i was distracted by how much the "infected" reminded me of the robots from "i, robot". it's not necessarily a bad thing, and perhaps the movie would have been better had there been some element of human vs machine (in this case, infected) survival scenario that we saw in "i, robot" and other movies such as the matrix trilogy.

it wasn't until after i left the theater that i remembered the belly aching surrounding the movie's so called anti-religious message. personally, i didn't make the connection as i was watching--i was too absorbed with the visuals and the fantasy aspect of the movie. sure the world in the movie parallels our own and if we're supposed to walk away feeling as if religious institutions are being questioned or attacked, i see nothing wrong with kicking up a little dust.
