that would be me. and grrrace, before you say i deserve a ticket, here me out.
the thing that bothers me most about looking for a parking spot is finding one, and then finding a little surprise waiting for me just as i pull in. it drives me NUTS and i didn't want to add to the parking madness after i got my little car. besides, i've seen people rear-end their little surprise and i definitely wanted to minimize the chances of that happening to my car. so, instead of pulling forward into a parking spot completely, i park farther back. i know, i know, the space in front of the car looks ridiculous, but now you know why it must be done.
by the way, in case anyone thought my car's rear was hanging out in the road in the first photo, it wasn't. although there's a different car next to mine in the next shot, it gives you a better idea of where my car was parked--the same spot as in the first photo.
i'm really enjoying the sunny weather and photographing the plants in my neighborhood. i'd say the hardest part has to be all the crouching i've been doing to get the shot but it's worth it. my legs get a good workout, and i get to see things from a different perspective.
and with all the squatting, i'm starting to notice more things on the ground and photographing "found" objects too. well, some of it's just litter which really irks me, but some of things i find are interesting because i wonder how they got there.
