my babies are dying. i woke up this morning and noticed that one of my orchid flowers had started to wilt. i remember when their petals, like baby's skin, barely had a vein in sight. now they're beginning to look like someone who has weathered life gracefully with aged skin to show for it...
and a few photos of the seven (that's what i call them) from back in april. i guess i'll be calling them the six pretty soon.
That hole in the ozone layer above Antarctica is back -- and bigger than ever, scientists said Wednesday.
Not to worry.
Scientists said they expect the ozone layer will have fully recovered sometime around 2065-2075 -- just in time for global warming to have a shot at destroying all life on Earth.

makes me wonder if i'll be around for this recovery. oooh,
according to deathclock.com, i might be! guess my demise (july 7,
2077) will be due in part to global warming and old age (102). i
do have to look at the bright side--maybe i'll have made some sort of
difference in the recovery >> treehugger.com top 10 tips for going greener. AND i'll have lived long enough to see halley's comet twice in my lifetime.
