i found out last week that one of my photos of pinky was chosen for "photo of the day" in the dog days group on flickr. if you're a member (of the group, or flickr), please vote..for pinky and me (#3)....for photo of the week. well, if not for pinky, then for me. ;)

honestly, i urge you to vote for the best photo in the pool. so go vote for (#3). it may not seem like a big deal, but it is to the competitor in me.

just a few photos of my parents' dog. it had been a month since i'd seen pinky so when i arrived at my parents' place last week, i saw her in this pink tee and couldn't help but take her out for pictures. i don't know which is funnier, pinky in this shirt, or my mom for getting her this shirt.

my dad's nickname for pinky is little bitty. when she sits in his chair, she looks so tiny! i have to admit, we also call her little rat-rat.

at first i was taking pictures of a clementine i had peeled and was about to eat, but then i noticed poa-poa eyeballing a slice, too. it wasn't long before she started jumping for a bite.

as much as it bothered me at the time (november of last year), i think it was pretty clear that poa-poa was trying to tell me something. she wanted a pillow of her own.

pretty please, with a puppy on top?

a couple of months later, she made it a point to show me (once again) just how much she wanted one. i had been working on laundry and when i went back to my room to grab my bedding, she had made herself comfortable on one of my pillows.

so, finally, i caved and gave her one. usually i'll leave it at the foot of my bed but last night i brought her pillow out onto the couch. as my brother and i were watching tv, poa-poa crawled into the pillowcase and slept. she does the funniest things sometimes...
