last month i made the best smoothie. i used fresh baby bananas, frozen apples and pineapples, vanilla yogurt, gallberry honey, milk and a little ice. but, i didn't measure anything and just eyeballed the ingredients. ever since then, i haven't been able to recreate the delicious concoction. it's driving me nuts because i bought a bunch of bananas yesterday to have another go at it, but i forgot the yogurt. *sigh*
they have a way of making me smile on days like today.

i took my mom shopping last month at a local farmers market and she bought a bunch of baby bananas--they were so tasty! their small portion and sweetness was perfect for a healthy snack and i even froze a few for later use (mmm, smoothies).
and if you couldn't tell in the top photo, i like to peel my banana the monkey way. :)
i got flowers! a dozen lovely roses. they were delivered by a kind man from a local floral shop. as he handed me the vase with a smile on his face, he said, "these are for you." of course i was surprised and excited.
well, after i closed the door, i looked at the card and . . . it's addressed to someone who doesn't live here. *shakes head*
of all the things that are delivered here, and i return because they're for someone else, it had to be flowers.
WTF, it's valentine's day, not april fool's day! *curses the universe*
it's a good thing i have a sense of humor.
WTF.
who am i kidding...i laughed my butt off.
i hope that was a disposable mic the host was using.
ew.

hmm, i don't have one in particular but quite a few. here, have a look at my playlist on last.fm for a sample:

i have to say, listening to nerf herder makes me smile. it reminds me of my college days and hanging out at the radio station with my friends. *sigh* the good old days.
as for the rest, massive attack, sigur ros, mono (the japanese band), explosions in the sky to name a few, their music makes my heart swell and skin tingle...
