What kind of camera(s) do you own?
asahi pentax k1000. i acquired this little gem from my parents but i haven't used it since my b/w photography class back in 1998. the photo to the right is one of my favorites from the class.
quad cam. i actually got this as a gift from getty images a few years ago and haven't used it, yet.
canon s110 digital elph. i've had it since 2001 and it gets a lot of use. i haven't posted on vox lately but you can check out some of my photos over on flickr.
and as soon as i can make up my mind (nikon or canon DSLR), there will be a new addition to the group in a few weeks. who knew that picking a camera would take a few years but i'm glad i waited--they don't come cheap!
i was having a pretty good day until i turned on the television to watch the news. there was a segment on cnn about a girl who was stoned to death in iraq for loving the wrong boy. she was only 17 years old, and apparently there's a video circulating that shows her horrific death. i know to not let things affect me too much, but this has definitely put me in a sour mood.

my middle name is rachel.
i met godrey reggio and had a brief but interesting talk with him about his films.
i was the only girl to take a weight lifting class with my high school football team.
takes the fun out of getting lost in a city, but the new google maps "street view" feature seems pretty cool.
in the spirit of jay's [song of the day] and his appreciation of certain noises, i thought i'd share these...
and if you have a little more time on your hands, this one is pretty good, too.
after having dinner last night with my brother and our friends, we caught the 10pm showing of pirates of the caribbean: at world's end. i had NO IDEA it was going to be such a long movie...as in 2hr 45min long. unfortunately, i went into a food coma 20 minutes into the movie but woke up to catch the last 30 minutes, which included staying after the credits since we were told there was "something at the end for everyone". if you plan on seeing it, go on an empty stomach. it probably would have helped me stay awake and digest the movie a little better.

like RPM, it's gotta be nike. a few months ago i went to the nike outlet store and fell in love with nike free, so i bought two pairs. they're so comfortable, i feel like i'm wearing a pair of socks!
well, looks like it ended the way i thought it would, and i'm not happy. *sniffles*
