springtime
Art is the imposing of a pattern on experience, and our aesthetic enjoyment is recognition of the pattern. -Alfred North Whitehead

a little background on the last photo which i took earlier this year. i had been out walking poa-poa, and it was a chilly but beautiful day. while she was running around, i had spent time looking up at the sky and all the bare trees in the neighborhood. i remember thinking how much i wanted spring to be here but it was only january with a few more months to go. then, as we were making our way back to the apartment, i looked up at the leafless tree in front of me and for a brief moment, a cotton tree sprung out of thin air. it was as if i gotten my wish. the clouds had floated by at just the right time and the tree looked like it was covered with cotton, or cherry blossoms. it turned out to be a spring-like day after all...

I'm soooo jealous.
at least in the last photo, i didn't have to worry about sneezing and still got to see a similar effect.
erin, you are so lucky. i don't know if i would survive!
crystal, you should have stayed in bed! ;)
Beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful!!!!
One of the things i miss the most about virginia were the amazing cherry blossom trees. For a few days in April, DC has a cherry blossom festival and it's always so breathtaking. i love it.
Lovely. thanks for sharing m'dear!
Love the photos.
I wish it was spring here too. I'm tired of the cold. I want some sun and fun. :-)
i can't wait for spring to get here already.
steve, thank you!
the pics are gorgeous! yay, spring! :D
you know, i'm beginning to wonder if anyone noticed that the tree in the last picture doesn't have any leaves on it at all.
