:(
i just found out from my neighbor, kt, that mr. wizard (don herbert) died yesterday. i grew up watching mr. wizard's world in the 80s. besides waking up to watch saturday morning cartoons, i couldn't wait to see mr. wizard. he definitely helped me discover and nurture my love of science when i was younger, and i loved trying different experiments from his show. he was an amazing man and will be missed...

I remember when he smashed apples he'd dipped in liquid nitrogen like they were glass ornaments. Cool. I wanted him to be my science teacher.
in my defense, though, my parents never let me watch tv. heh.
*sigh* i wish nick would bring some of the old shows back, especially mr. wizard's world.
but i'm curious--when did you start watching tv?
and Danger Mouse & Banana Man??? OMG...I found the DM DVDs but Banana Man is nowhere to be found :( I LOVED those!
i don't understand why most of the nick classics aren't on DVD. from all the comments i've seen around the web, people want them. i want them!
