what is it with drivers not using their directionals? instead, i find people riding along side me with a look that i'm supposed to recognize as a signal to change lanes. WTF. for all i know, they could be sight seeing. i'm not psychic, and i don't remember seeing facial expressions in any driver handbook i've read. i recognize flashing lights not darting eyes, people. then again...when someone does use their directional, others take it as an indication to speed up and not let the driver into their lane.

i have a friend who grew up in rural rural rural idaho. and of course they never needed to use turn signals. so now she lives in a metro city and she doesn't use them. it drives me NUTS!

normally, i don't let things get to me when i'm on the road but today was one of those days--people cutting me off, or holding up traffic because they were trying to move over without signaling. it's worse around the holidays, or maybe i notice it more when i'm irritated.

hoo-boy, people in traffic. i've lived/driven in some nasty, big-city traffic situations--chicago, nyc, atlanta in the months before the olympics--but ultimately nothing beats the bloodthirsty madness of drivers in southeast michigan. they all drive 95 mph like I-94 is hell's own competitive event. hope yer commute fades back out of your awareness soon. :)

oh yeah. i HATE that.

man, i was SO angry in the car yesterday but mia was in the car so i was trying really hard not to scream. and i'm saying, "OH, YOU... JERK. YOU... MEAN, MEAN PERSON." when all i wanted to scream was, "YOU MOTHER FUCKING COCKSUCKING BASTARD! LEARN HOW TO FUCKING DRIVE! YOU FUCKING ASSHAT!"

so yeah. finally i caved and flipped them off. but with my left hand. (she can see my right hand) hehe...

oh. oops. i didn't put in little asterisks in the curse words. sorry. heh.

hahahaha, next time, let 'em know you want to punch them in the throat. ;)

i need to come up with some kind of sign language for that. maybe a fist, point to them and then making a punching motion to my own throat... hrm... i'll have to think about that. :P hehe.

i was thinking the same thing! i tried, but it doesn't work too well. hell, if i don't stop, i'm sure i'll punch myself. yeeeahhhh, i'm getting into this a little too much.
