I've heard of that video. It really is an atrocity. I don't blame you for how you're feeling. Hope your day gets better.
:(

i hope your day gets better, too. i've never heard of this video . . . but then again, i'm not surprised. people are animals.
Even worse.. she was killed as an honor killing by her family :(

So it was an overdose? J/K, just trying to make you smile. I think I would stone the boy to save my daughter's honor. I will do it preemptively, of course.

Haven't seen the video, but it sucks almost as bad as the girl in Pakistan a few years back.

i can't understand these types of beliefs that people do these sort of things. it reminds me of the short story, the lottery.
that's the part of the story that made, and still makes me so angry--that it was an honor killing. it's sick, and it's disturbing that people feel that "honor killing" is an acceptable practice in some parts of the world. that's just my opinion, but then again, my opinion wouldn't matter in those parts of the world now would it...
That is unbelievably sad. She was actually killed by her own family?? That's too much...I know we're not supposed to expect other cultures to abide by our own beliefs and what have you, but sometimes it seems impossible to understand how such atrocities can be considered by anyone to be acceptable.
it's so awful. these kinds of stories are why steve doesn't let me read the newspaper. or watch the news. heh. i get all upset and start crying and shit.
i agree--it's impossible to understand. what i do understand is that life is a balance of selfish and unselfish acts, but to end a life because someone felt disrespected or dishonored? that's an act of cowardice, and an extremely selfish one at that. i feel like the world is WAY off balance when i hear about stories like this.

okay, i'll stop now and focus on something else...

"i get all upset and start crying and shit."

you and me both.
I hate watching the news for this very reason. It's so depressig, and I always end up really sad once it's over.
