you know you're a geek when you have a binary translator bookmarked in your links toolbar in firefox.

LOL! gracias. :)
i figured i'd make it a special double-translate for you. :)
is today your birthday?!

happy birthday!!!!! :D

yup, and i totally forgot that i'm supposed to have miyuk gook today. my mom reminded me this morning and now i have to find a place that serves it.
oh. you're supposed to have miyuk gook on your bday? i didn't know that! hehe.

hey, it's really easy to make... hehe :P
but...i don't wanna make it.

hmm, on second thought, it does give me reason to go to the farmers market since i haven't been in a while. great. on top of buying seaweed, i'm going to wind up buying a bunch of stuff i do not need, like rice cakes, soondae, pastries...

i'm not liking you at the moment, grrrace. ;)
they sell miyuk at the farmer's market?! lucky! hehe...

go go go go go! ;P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, gamany (you who are always at the top of my list of favorite peoples!) May your year be filled with joy and love and good luck (and food and awesome photographs and maybe a trip to DC so I can take you to my favorite eating places.)

[01010100 01001001 01000111] seriously, i was going to say the SAME thing! I have a translator bookmarked at the end of my toolbar.

Happy Birthday!

I do not have a binary translator bookmarked, which surely would have saved me the minute I spent trying to figure it out it. Happy birthday, Gamany! :)

Belated Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day!
yup. i took a trip to the market yesterday but i didn't have time to make the soup! so, i made it today for lunch. it was easy! and just to be on the safe side, i wound up calling my mom for her recipe (i'm such a bum). well, i didn't think to ask how much seaweed i should rehydrate. i used 1/3 of a 2oz pack thinking it was enough for a couple of servings; left it to soak in water for about 5 minutes; came back...and the bowl was nearly overflowing. now i have a pot full of miyuk gook that could easily feed 8-10 people, and that's after i ate my share. LOL
thanks, lorelei! and speaking of favorite peoples--i thought of you while i was at the market picking up a bunch of mini-bananas and rice cakes. nom nom nom. ;)
thanks, sean! bookmarks are a glorious thing. how else would i be able to get to my recent comments page with a single click? :))
LOL, hope you have one bookmarked now. ;) thanks, madeline!
despite work related issues, i had a lovely day. i laughed; i ate; i celebrated with wonderful friends and family... i couldn't ask for anything more!
ah, great minds think alike. :)
LOL. i know. a little bit of miyuk goes a LOOOOOONG way. hehe.
my mom was cracking up when i told her what happened. i'm just glad that it tasted fine despite the umpteen cloves of garlic i used. helllloooooo. yeah, that would be my breath you're smellin' over yonder. ;)
garlic makes everything better! hehe.
