food-ku, my first attempt
crispy and crunchy,
the beauty of chicken and
cucumber kimchee.
--
that was nerve wracking, but i thought i'd give it a shot. and speaking of shot, here are a couple of photos to go along with the food-ku.
i cooked the chicken and rice, but i can't take credit for the kimchee. my mom is growing cucumbers in her garden and she brought up a fresh batch of oi (cucumber) kimchee over memorial day weekend.
as for the chicken, i seasoned some thighs with zatarain's creole seasoning and pan fried it until the juices ran clear (about 8 minutes on each side, i think). and the rice was easy--a box of rice-a-roni (chicken flavor).

crankypants, i think i may try food-ku more often! :)
NYC, sometimes when i see something mouth-watering, my ears hurt. hope that's not the case for you! ;)
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE kimchi.
My ears don't hurt, but I get this funny pain right behind the bend in my jawbone under my hears. If you press on that spot right there (it's a pressure point), I get a little squirt of saliva in the corner of my mouth. In fact.. I just pressed on it. *squirt! Hahahaha..... Mmmmmmm.... It makes me want spicy spicy spicy food!
@D: Jeeez.....

That's what happens when you get three 'net-addicted Pepperheads together in the same virtual space...the capsaicin breaks down the inhibitions against unacceptable behavior! :)
HAHA, my kind of alcohol!
